To allow a commercial vehicle to exceed legal weight limits with a weight that does not change. Fixed Load vehicles include vehicles such as cranes, cement pumping trucks, and well drilling trucks.

This permit is an overweight permit for a vehicle with a weight that does not change, such as cranes, cement pumping trucks, and well drilling trucks. Fixed loads with 3 axles may be permitted up to 65,000 lbs. and fixed loads with 4 axles may be permitted up to 86,000 lbs. with the appropriate wheelbase and tire size. An axle spacing report is required to issue a fixed load permit.

Same day service if application is received before 3 pm. Permit can also be self-issued.

Check Road and Bridge Restrictions prior to movement. This permit is exempt (if length does not exceed 45 feet) from: Commuter hour and holiday restrictions, Oversize sign requirements, night-time travel restrictions, & winter restrictions prohibiting permitted movement when traction tires/devises/chains are advised, recommended or required but must obey chain requirements.
