Air Quality Minor Source Registration Program(Air Quality Registration Program)What is the Purpose of this Program?The purpose of the Air Quality Registration Program is to develop and maintain a current and accurate record of air contaminant sources. Information collected through the registration program is used to evaluate the effectiveness of air pollution control strategies and to verify source compliance with applicable air pollution regulations.What Activities Require this Program?A source which is listed under the source classification list in Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 173-400-100 and operates within the following counties:Central Region Chelan, Douglas, Kittitas, Klickitat, and Okanogan Eastern Region Adams, Asotin, Columbia, Ferry, Franklin, Garfield, Grant, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Stevens, Walla Walla, and Whitman Northwest Region San Juan. All other counties are under the jurisdiction of local clean air agencies. How Much Will this Program Cost?Sources pay an annual fee based on how much they pollute. Periodic sources pay a fee of $450, $700, or $1,000 per year, based on the most currently reported emissions. Larger air contaminant sources are classified as annual sources and pay fees ranging from $2,000 to $8,000.Do I Need to Include Anything with my Application?Contact the Air Quality Program Commercial Industrial Registration Staff for your region to determine the forms required by your facility type.How Long Will it Take to Review my Application?Processing time will depend on the completeness of the forms and at what point in the cycle the forms are received.
